Please read carefully: The Chat Feature will be turned back on sometime on Thursday 5/30/13. We received word last night that Norton/Symantec is 'whitelisting' Envolve Chat and that any false warning should disappear IF AND ONLY IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED AND UPDATED YOUR NORTON/SYMANTEC SOFTWARE with the latest virus definitions. (this is usually automatic) but your installation/implementation may be different.

It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

We've added a new Video Section where you can post your favorite youtube videos. You do not need to post their 'embed' code. Just post a link to the video and we do the rest.

Since the maximum number of days a Classified can be posted without 'relisting' the ad (you'll get an expiration notice ahead of time) is 90 days - As of 6:15 PM EST 1/6/2013 all Classified Ads over 90 days old have been purged from the Sailnet Classifieds.

Every now and then Comcast gets a bug up their butt and starts blocking emails from our server. They have pattern recognition software to scan emails and if they see too many emails that look similar they just start blocking your server. I noticed they were blocking emails earlier today and I went to their website and completed a form that got us 'unblocked' so if you see a number of emails flowing through from Sailnet - this is the reason.

very fast when wind is up -- no need to reef until 20 knots apparent - 7.5 knots @ 17 knots apparent

Purchased 09/1991. For the past 22 years have had nothing but great sailing with her! Maine to Fla. Outside and ICW. 6'6" headroom, fully loaded, 12 ft beam, 5'6" draft. Mine is a 37S built 1985. Sleeps 6, Better than any like performance racer/cruiser. Solid construction, Low maintenance.

An absolute classic; a fiberglass Finisterre. Designed by MacLear & Harris who worked under Olin Stephens with Francis Kinney and Al Mason on the original Finisterre. Because of fiberglass construction rather than wood (as was the original Finisterre), the interior volume of Finisterre is not lost in the shorter waterline Seabreeze. Fast, seakindly and comfortable inside, she's the ideal cruising boat of her size. Her bulletproof hull performs as may be expected of a sister to Finisterre. After the first few boats, MacLear & Harris specified an additional 1,000 pounds of ballast (in lead pigs). At typical cruising weight, her Capsize Ratio is 1.62 and her Motion Comfort Index is 40.7. The bronze centerboard boats are preferable to the later aluminum centerboard version, which may have corrosion problems. Wolf Hound

Have owned a Nonsuch 30C for 7 yrs. Build quality is excellent. Really fast boat on a reach and down wind. Points about 5 degrees less than a racing sloop. Down wind can keep up with a sloop flying a spinnaker. (No spinnaker pole needed and the time to put it up and take it down along with the headsail change, offsets the somewhat slower speed of the Nonsuch). The Nonsuch needs at least 10knts to really perform. Have raced in 20 - 25knts W/O reefing. 40 footers, catch me if you can on a reach in 20knts! I have actually gotten the Nonsuch to plane. I had reservations about buying a Nonsuch after owning several racing sloops. I do not regret my decision to buy the Nonsuch.

Points well for shoal draft(5'1"), very livable, electrical system/all systems have held up extremely well('93 yr boat), aft galley is very nice to work in, decent storage, small holding tanks, great family boat, easily handled/docked, handles heavy weather well, regularly average 7/7.5 on beam reach, easily goes 8.5 in 15kts plus, it's a fun boat, it's always the boat everyone wants to go out on

We purchased our 1984 CAL 35 MK II in April of 2012. We've been full time live aboard since. We've sailed her from Panama City to the Chesapeake Bay via the Gulf and outside up the East Coast. She sails well on all points but can bash a bit to weather in a chop. It can be a bit unnerving at times but if you bare off a bit, it can help considerably. There isn't much info to be had on these old girls but we find her to be a great boat for the money. Tons of room and storage. The shower has been of great use as we live on her full time. The old Universal 5432 is running like a champ and the only drawback there is the 11 + quarts of oil she uses on EACH oil change. We did the ICW down to Florida and that can get costly if you change every 75 hrs. which I do. Other than that, Cal legacy with a great layout for two people. We have the model without the Quarter berth as we wanted the big lazarette. If you have guests for any length of time it can be a pain in the ass and somewhat awkward with your guests right there in the middle of the salon. All things being equal. We love the boat. We've not done any major mods as of yet. None needed. Looking forward to taking her places. It's all out in the open at www.mondovacilando.com S/V Vacilando

After 40 years now and still sailing well. Just bought one and hull and deck still strong, mast support has been redone, a few blisters fixed but other than that still strong and functional. somethings are built to last and I think these boats are one of them. I think that I will even keep the atomic 4. if it an't broke don't fix it. I think that this boat and engine proves that if you have something built well and maintain it well it should last a long time.
