Pros:
Cons:

Well built, nicely finished, roomy trailerable sailboat. Sails well on all points of sail. Relative to fixed fin keel boats I have owned, a bit difficult to handle under power, possibly due to long shoal keel and small rudder. Requires a fair amount of way on before reacting to rudder input. The only other fault is the effort required to raise and lower the mast, a cumbersome task at best. Would appreciate hearing from other Tonic owners who might have devised an easier procedure for doing this. These small quirks aside a great little cruiser I would purchase again.

Pros:
Cons:

Roomy interior compares to a 26-27 foot. Very versatile, forgiving, a safe boat. Overall excellent workmanship, with the except of the viynl liner, which I have replaced it with wood panelling. Excellent family cruiser, and for some one to single hand. With the o/b motor in the well, I have installed remote controls, which improved maneuvarability during slow speed, and docking.
Tonic 23 rates a 10!!!
