Pros:
Cons:

The Kirby 23 is the cruising version of the popular Sonar racer/daysailor. Designed by renowned naval architect, Bruce Kirby, the boat has been tailored for PHRF racing and weekending. With a rating of 177 similarly rated boats include J/24s, J/22s, and S2 7.9s. If you are lucky enough to own one, I have been told that you are one of six. I have hull #3. It is rumored that building disputes halted production. The Sonar was again modified in 1988 the result was a boat called a Blazer. I am unsure of how many Blazers were made. If you wish to pick my brain for more facts about the Kirby 23 please feel free to e-mail me a kirby23@hotmail.com.
