Pros:
Cons:

Paul Lindenberg built the boats in Cocoa, FL between 1978 and 1982. Around 50 or so of these boats were built. Originally designed by Jim Kelly as a Mini Tonner/1/4 tonner. It is hard chinned with a retractable rudder and keel. The rudder is transom mounted thru an aluminum bracket with tiller attached. The 300 pound retractable keel is flush with the bottom when in the up position. There is 500 pounds of ballast at the base of the keel channel. The top of the keel, when retracted, pops up thru the top of the deck. Down below the keel trunk is completely enclosed. A very unique set up for its time. The transom is open and the bow is almost plumb. The rig is 3/4 fractional. The boat displaces approximately 1,800 pounds. These boats were very popular in the early 80's here in the South East and had a one design class with Nationals at Lake Lanier every year. The deck is cored with kledgecell which was ahead of its time.

The PHRF average is around 204. They are great PHRF boats when sailed with a crew of 3 or 4.

I just purchased hull # 44 in December 2000 and will be hitting the water this summer. Visit http://www.livesoundcheck.com/lindenberg22 to see pictures of this boat.
