Pros:
Cons:

A sloop with Bilge Keel. Built in GRP finished with mahogany trim in and out.
It is an excelent cruising boat, offering a large spacious cabin and cockpit for its size. It has a shoal draft .80 m due to the bilge keel. Needs no frame for hauling out. Has a very seakindly motion. Very stronlgy built.
Does not sail close to the wind, has a shallow bilge no room for a shower in cabin.
Overall very satisfied.

Pros: Very good stability out at sea, although still to be tested in rougher water. Can sail close to the wind if sails are correctly reefed and trimmed.
Cons: No shower.

The Macwester 26 is a very solid boat. She has a very shallow draft, so you can venture up those small creaks and rivers you had always dreamed about! She Does suffer from lee helm, however, most of this is a sign of incorrect sail trim (let her teach you).

Her interior is reasonably spacious for 1 person, and is easily adiquate for 2 Adults constanstly living together.

Her Tabernackle (if fitted) allows for easy mast raising and lowering with a 'A' frame. perfect for Canals and Rivers!

Overall she is a very good budget cruiser, ready to cruise the coasts and, if treated right, cross the oceans.

I have no regrets in my purchace of Duetto, a Macwester 26.
