15' LOA, Beam 6', 410lbs Main & (roller furling) Jib 150sqft, Spinnaker 156. This boat looks like a scale model of the Chrylser Buccaneer, and shares the same designer. Draws 8" with the Board up, 4' with it down. Round bilges make the Mutineer "tender", it heels quite a lot, especially on a close reach, but the hull design is such that it doesn't produce weather helm when heeled. With the rudder down, the tiller is feather light. The rudder kicks up and both it and the centerboard are adjustable to handle shallows. Planes on a beam reach in 12mph wind and will reach hull speed on a close reach. Could hold 4 adults, but 2 is ideal crew, 3 is OK, and it single-hands unless there is too much wind. There is a teak cover on the centerboard trunk and a beautiful laminated tiller. I had to replace rivets that held the fiberglass trunk cover, (and turned the teak over to get to a "virgin" surface) otherwise the boat has been no trouble. Overall a great boat to single hand, or sail with a friend, you'll want more boat to carry a family. 7000 built, (ours is 4491) and still being built by Cardinal Yachts in Gloucester, VA. New ones have a different design inside, with no teak cover.
