Pros:
Cons:

The Northern 29 is an S&S design, built by the now defunct Northern Yachts of Ajax, Ontario, Canada.

Has a modified fin keel with skeg hung rudder configuration.

Only complaint is the forward hatch is of the slide open variety, and is therefore not very waterproof! In large seas it does let copious amounts of water to cover your v-berth.

We've sailed her from Toronto to Bahamas and across the north coast of Cuba.

While it does point well in calm seas, it is somewhat uncomfortable and slow beating into the trades.
