Pros:
Cons:

George Olson design, two manufactures 1) Pacific Yachts 2) Ericson. I own number 125, an Ericson built boat. The boat appears to perform much better as winds speeds increase. Either the Pacific made boats are faster than the Ericsons or all the Ericson drivers I know are less proficient at making the boat go. There used to be an Olson 25 association but I have not heard from them in the last year. I'am looking for any information to help me make the boat go.

Pros:
Cons:

Olson 25 is a very different design than the ubiquitous Olson 30. While still very light, it was intended as more of a dual purpose boat, with a very workable cruising interior for a 25' sport boat. The boats are excellent in light air and can stand up to a serious blow without any worry. They rate comparable to a J24 in most areas, but are much better built and inherently faster. The legendary quality of workmanship common to all Santa Cruz built Olsons is also true for these boats. They are very well built and exhibit only a very few problems even after 10 years or more of heavy use. The Erikson boats aren't the same quality, however.
