It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

The Dolphin, with its trailerable keel-and-centreboard configuration, is an ideal boat for shallower waters. I have sailed mine on the Ottawa River since purchase two years ago. The boat was in rough shape, but cleaned up quite well and now provides much satisfaction. The hull is solid glass and the keel cast iron. Her deck-stepped 24 ft mast can be raised and lowered by one person, if necessary, and originally carried external halyards running over 4 mast-top sheaves. I have since upgraded to internal halyards, adding deck organizers and spinnaker gear. The cockpit will seat myself, my wife and two kids on one side, and so is quite spacious. The outboard rides in a well inside the cockpit, just forward of the transom. The cabin has a fairly standard v-berth and two quarter-berth layout, with a marine head connected to a holding tank under the v-berth forward. The step inside the companionway hides a sink and cooler drawer. Besides the companionway hatch, there are two large windows in the deckhouse sides, and a hatch forward for ventilation. Bilges are shallow, so care must be taken to remove any water before sailing to prevent sloshing.
Sailing performance is not racing quality, as the boat is quite tender due to the shallowness of the keel ballast, only able to carry its No. 1 genoa up to about 8 kts of wind. The working jib (masthead rig) provides the most versatile sail combination.

I've owned my Dolphin for a year now, and I'm very pleased with her performance as a weekender cruiser. Her shallow draft is a definite plus on Lac St. Louis where I sail her. I've put together what information I can find on this boat. you can access it at:
