The Prairie 32 is a full keeled beamy cruising boat. Cutter rigged, it is faster than one might expect. It is a extremely comfortable boat to sail., and "motors" well with the 30hp Yanmar. There aren't many of these boats around so I will be glad to share my experiences and also would welcome any information other owners/sailors might have with this sturdily built boat.

We have lived aboard and sailed our Prairie 32 for the last 18 years. She has a very strong layup, is a comfortable cruiser and has a large cabin area for a 32 foot boat. The trade off is a very small cockpit, which provides safety at sea, but not much stretching out room. The full keel with a cut-away forefoot makes her more manuverable than a traditional full keel boat. With some changes to the interior and adjustments to correct weather helm we have been very happy with the performance of this boat.
