Classic Rhodes designed Daysailer, great stability for it's size, very seaworthy (for it's size). Pluses: Bigger cockpit than most boats twice it size, the Mariner version also has great storage capabilities, and will sleep 4. It is now built by Stuart Marine in Rockland Maine, my '72 was an O'day. Positive floatation, great stability, and a self bailing cockpint make this a good choice for a family day sailer with weekender possiblilities for the camping minded. It handles well, points well under main and 110% jib. Reefing is strongly suggested for winds over 20 knots, but as long as you reef you don't have to stay on the mooring. This boat will round up when overpowered long before it will get knocked down. I recently upgraded to a Ranger 23 but I had a great six years lerning how to sail in this boat.
