Pros:
Cons:

Designed to the MORC rule as a racer/cruiser. The PHRF rating is 132. Fin keel with a draft of 5.5 ft. The main is relatively large for a 30 ft. boat. Even though it is a masthead rig it is raced much like a fractional rig i.e., when the wind pipes up to over 18 knots we go immediately to the blade. It is a good sized boat to sail in double-handed races. We have done well in the Lake Huron double-handed challange(240 miles) having collected a flag for eleven out of the eleven years.
The boat has rod rigging, balsa core hull and deck, tapered aluminum mast, large cockpit, giant tiller and rudder and is suitable for cruising. I have lived on the boat for several summers- wife, kids(2) and all.
The only weakness is that MORC boats are hard to find to race with. We end up trying to handle 35-40 foot boats-tough to do! But they do know we are out there and we pull off a 1st every now and then.
The boat is a keeper.
