Sloop which is fast and comfortable. With two sleeping cabins and two heads, it will handle four adults nicely. It is easy to singlehand...I do it regularly on the Chesapeake. My wife and I have sailed this boat, Kathy Ann, in the Caribbean and the Chesapeake and are very satisfied with it.
Only significant costs have been awlgrip last year (boat was 8 years old) and the need to replace interior hull covering throughout the vessel. Kathy Ann has remained in excellent condition.

This 2 cabin 2 head boat is great for a couple with occasional visitors. It is easy to sail and fast for a boat with considerable cruising comfort. The only negative we have or have heard about is the failure of the interior vinyl to adhere to the bulkheads. This can be repaired but it will have to be done.

For a couple that's the boat, although the two cabins w/ two heads can accommodate comfortably 2 couples w children sleeping in the salon.
I sail regularly across the Caribbean in all kind of weather, and the handling is good, and simple for solo sailing, or with minor help. Big main bathroom for a boat that size.
She is an excellent boat, althougt the keel is shoal it is longer so the speed and heeling abilities are not damaged she is fast I have win some regattas w/ her. It has an strong construction, the only disadvantage is the interior upholstery that cover the sides and parts of the celling that wasn't well glued and will come off. So you will need to keep it in place regularly. I have a full batten main and a 125 genoa, I have made 10knots upwind and 12k downwind, average speed is 6,5 - 7k upwind. She is ardent in strong winds, so keep in mind a good helm work and sail area wen out to sail.
