Pros:
Cons:

A fun boat to sail

Several mods:

1 - Added a stainless shoe in the keel area (the Santana bilge) that beefs up the keel mounting. Its a custom plate 1/4 thick about 12 inches wide that runs the length of the keel inside the boat. I bolted the keel up to this.

2 - A lightened the chainplates by rebuilding them and drilling large holes in the straps as per an idea I seen on the newer models.

3 - There is some deck delamination caused by the wear and tear over the past 24 years. I rebedded all of the hardware and expoxy filled the voids. Most of the delamination was around the genoa tracks.

I love the boat, it sails very close to weather, balances well and needs litte wind to make it move. It's perfect for a good Pacific Northwest boat.
