Pros: Full keel heavy cruiser for the size
Cons: Doesn't sail to weather well

I don't know if there are any Seaforths still out there since I don't believe they are built any longer. I bought a new one 32 years ago. I put a roller furling jib on it and two reef points on the main. It had an outboard Chrysler engine in the well provided for it. The engine wasn't too good, but when it ran, the boat moved well.

The boat also had a primitive 12V tiller self-steering gear that worked sometimes. Once I finished outfitting the boat, I took off for the Bahamas on the three week single handed trip and the boat sailed well given its limitations based on size. I even got into a storm in the Gulf Stream and ended up running with the storm north bound for several hours before turning around and heading for West End again. No a single problem. It’s a pretty good boat for the size. By the way, the “24” in 24 Seaforth is misleading. The on deck length is about 20’.
