Pros:
Cons:

Very strong offshore boat with excellent sea keeping abilties, Fin and skeg, encapsulated keel, cutter rigged. Good storage plus large tankage for fuel and water. Points quite high however more of a easy passage than a racing greyhound. If you are looking for a good liveaboard do not pass up the chance of looking at the Slocum 43. I have just done trans Atlantic.

This is an aft cockpit, rounded stern, 6 ft. draft, cutter rigged boat capable of blue water cruising. Has tremendous storage below decks with an aft cabin, one head and lots of living space. Points extremely well and though heavy, good light wind sailing. We have had this one 5 years and are extremely satisfied.

I've been restoring this boat for the past couple of months she's a well built boat that has stood up to some abuse. I'm interested in other owners contacting me sharing info etc

It's been a long time since postings but I thought I'd check if anyone was still around. I'm thinking about restoring a 1983 Slocum 43 and would appreciate feedback based on experiences.
