Just purchased recently. Built by North American Yachts and Marketed by Glasstron. Swing keel with shoal draft. As a novice sailor I feel this is a great boat. I rigged and steped the mast in my driveway by myself. My wife and I rigged her ready for launch off of the trailer in about 45 minutes the first time with no instructions. With the shoal draft sits low in trailer so is easy to load and launch. V berth with a port and starboard qtr. berths. There is some work I need to do-Gel coat has some oxidation, cabin cushions need new covers etc. Sails well but a bit slow in light air. Had her out during some 25-35mph gusts-she got us home safely although the best winds seem to be between 10-15 mph. Would love to hear from other owners on this model or Spirits in general.

This is your standard day sailing/mini cruiser type boat. The cabin is big for a boat of this size but the cockpit is pretty short (probably just under 6'). I don't have much experience sailing other boats but I'm pleased with it so far. I've sailed it in all kinds of weather conditions including in winds up to about 30 knots. She seems pretty stable but doesn't point nearly as well in high winds as she does in lighter air. For more information visit my website at www.gtcom.net/~sejames.
