Pros: Sturdy, very attractive and well made, handles well, shoal draft
Cons: The centerboard must be watched because it is steel within fiberglass

The Sunbird has a fanatical following that supports it despite the lack of a company. There are Sunbirds all over the world and they are both good trailer/sailors and just fine at a mooring. NOT the fastest boat in the world but a very good beginners boat with plenty of room for a daysailing family. The biggest surprise is that they apparently have a very favorable PHRF so they make excellent handicap racers as well.

Our family has truly loved our Sunbird!
