Pros:
Cons:

Length 17" 9", Trailerable, 22'"shoal draft keel, 1200 lbs displacement, 50 sq. ft. main, 70 sq. ft. 120% genoa, 7/8 fractional rig.

This is a very safe boat, we day sail on the great lakes and large inland lakes in Michigan and Canada. The boat was offered in many color combinations in late 70's and early 80's. I have seen a similar hull (same mold?) sold as a Renkin 17? in used lots. The small sail area makes light air performance sub par but in 15-30 knots you have a blast. We have added a 300 Sq. Ft. Spinnaker to creat some Chaos and it has improved downwind perfomance (duh!). Room for 5 good friends but it is best with 2 or 3. Over night occomodations are spartan but doable for a night or two. I suspect one could find these in Florida and Michigan for $1500-$2500. This is a great first boat and can be trailered easily with a V6. Look for cement launch ramps that drop off quickly and add and extender to the trailer. The boat rigs in about 20-30 minutes and is FUN and SAFE.
