Pros:
Cons:

Cutter rig, canoe stern, long cruising fin and fully skegged rudder. Heavy construction.
She sails remarkably well in light air (6 to 8 knots) and with reefed main and staysail we have sailed her comfortably in 40 knots of wind.
6 foot draft can be a small problem along the intracoastal.
Overall she is a wonderful boat easily sailed by a couple.

I'm curious how many Tayana 42 owners participate in this site? I have a 1987 V42 and would be interested in exchanging ideas and information.
