Surprising small SHIP ! This is a mini cruiser of the first water. 5500lbs with 2200 ballast , full keel , 310 sq.ft. of sail, 8'beam with 34" draft. SOLID and Stable are the appropriate adjectives. MY wife and I got caught out in a 35 - 40 kt blow and after about 30 minutes we relaxed and really enjoyed the sail with no jib and reefed main. GPS showed 7knts and more in gusts. If you'r 5'8" or less you can stand erect. She is small and really not for more than mom-dad and one child.
You can find them rigged as: schooner, Yawl, Ketch , Sloop(mine) and somebody ought to try a cat rig!!!!.
Do I like her ? Well , if I could afford it I would have one in Maine, one in Florida and one in Seattle.
Simple , Strong , Stable with fewer faults than any boat I've had. Intended to keep her for 1 year ; that was 5 years ago.
