Pros:
Cons:

I am the owner of a Watkins 36 cc
and would like to chat with owners of same. I have spent the last 5 years in upgrading and have some interesting stories to share.

Short list of replace/new items:
48 gal fuel tank (orig. manfgr)
Port lites
Stearing cables and conduits
Wiring-running,deck,anchoring,inside reading,steaming etc.
Perkins 4108 rebuilding

As I said, just a short list.

Drop me a line. calebsparrow@suntelephone.com

Pros:
Cons:

I purchased my 1981 Watkins one month ago. It is a very sound boat for the age and I am impressed with the ability to do well in rough waters. It is very comfortable and the rigging seems to actually be over done a bit. Stability is important in any blue water boat and this one seems to be very sturdy. The berths are nice and large and the galley is outfitted well. The icebox can actually store a LOT of food which is nice. This ship is a "sleeper" for sure as it is a lot of boat for the buck.
