It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

Faster than folks think! Great design for heavy weather
sailing, and for liveaboard. Lot's of variation in interiors, as many were owner-finished. There's an active
"owners association" with web page at http://www.erols.com/woax,
and also a wonderful contact for parts, etc., Bud Taplin,
who will survey a Westsail anywhere in the country; Bud's web page is at http://www.westsail.com

Classic, full keeled, heavy displacement, cutter rigged, double-ender that is capable of going anywhere in the world. More Westsails have completed extensive ocean voyages than any other production sailboat. Built like the proverbial tank any quite speedy with the right headsails.

Lying West end of Lake Erie with 3 other Westsails. This well proven cutter was a kit boat finished to factory standards by the previous owner and myself. Although reputed to be slow they are usually the only boats on the water when the wind really kicks up. This vessel has more than ample storage for long distance voyages by a couple and even though I am 6' 4" tall there is plenty of stand-up headroom.

If you're in the market for an affordable boat that will take you across any sea, no other boat will even approach the value found in a Westsail 32. It's beamy hull provides ample room for two on extended cruises, although she sleeps six on shorter ones. On deck, she proudly displays her lineage as a passagemaker with her substantial bulwark, low volume cockpit and canoe stern. Though many were sold underpowered, her other qualities make her an excellent choise for cruising.
IMHO, she's a poor choice for daysailing due to her massive 20,000 lb hulk.
