LOD - 34. Beam 10'9". LOA 36. Mast Head Rig. 18 HP Volvo 2002, marteck folding prop. Kevlar/Mylar Racing Main, 140 and 160 Genoa, 2 spinakers. Std Dacron Cruising Main and 100 Jib. Home Port is Kauai.

I have owned this X342 for about 1 year. We primarily day sail and weekend cruise her,as well as race the weekly beer can races here. She is sturdy, fast, well equipped and easily handled by a minimum of 2 for cruising and 3 for racing (w/o spinaker). Could be easily single handed with the addition of a wind vane. All lines lead aft and with the mechanical steering (no cables) she is very responsive to the helm. All original equipment is adequate, but some of the the rope clutches need replacing and hatches need new gaskets after 14 years.

Surface Blisters and some slight rust in the galvanized frame are the only problems I inherited. I am impressed with the quality of the build after 14 years and would definitly recommend an X-Yacht, new or used, to anyone wanting a well built performance cruiser.
