Pros:
Cons:

The Young Sun 35 is a Perry design with a full keel and the distinctive tumblehome stern. Very similar to the Tayana 37. Beautiful boat for someone that enjoys the traditional look of teak decks with lots of brightwork. Solid build - quite seaworthy. Excellent blue water cruiser, but don't expect to go anywhere fast. We really love ours and plan to take her cruising in a few years.

I've been sailing about 14 yrs and can't say enought about this boat. Just a very seaworthy boat. Would love to hear from other Young Sun owners.

Pros: Solid, reliable, safe.
Cons: Slow.

I have a Young Sun 35' which is in Everett, WA at this time. Even though she's a full keel boat, she still only draws 6'. In Puget Sound and the Straits north of here, it's not really a problem. "CLEAR HORIZON" is solid, safe, and scary for tupperware boats that try to cut you off. But you're not going to win any races. The Yanmar 3 banger has to be the greatest stroke of genius in the industrial age. You will aways get home in this gal.

I am having troubles finding people to help me sand and cetol. I'm thinking about taking the cap rails down to teak and letting them go grey. Or should I just oil them? I'm through with the cetol.
