Pros:
Cons:

This Buccaneer has had a major refit over the last 5 years because of water damage and age. It is powered by a Volvo MD6-B diesel engine that will push it along at about 6 knots, sometime. With the 150% Genoa and it's shoal draft it sails well enough, other than to the wind. The interior has been redesigned to sleep four adults. This Buccaneer 285 is a fun boat, it is not fast and to the wind is exasperating. But for fishing, swimming and just messing around it fills the bill
