Pros:
Cons:

Bluewater 24/BW24. Rare. Modern design reverse transom sloop. Designed by Shun Takeichi and built at Leanforce Ltd. in Kamakura, Japan for offshore... Very overbuilt. Fin keel, skeg hung rudder, 8'10"beam - mine (Honoo) has the short rig and was sailed with another BW24 from Japan to British Columbia in the early 80s. A BW24,‘Ghost Rider’ was seen in Florida on a circumnavigation year's ago....The boat designer, Shun, and Leanforce Ltd. also teamed to produce the BW30, and the BW33 - somewhat similar in appearace to the Yamaha line. Shun Takeichi was killed in a Japan to Guam race. Leanforce Ltd. is no longer in business. Please contact me if you have any information on these rare (in North America) boat's. (UPDATE 10/16/00) Have just purchased a BW30.
