Pros:
Cons:

The C&C 37 is a fast,powerful,cruiser/racer. She is very well engineered and is very spacious down below. There are two possible weaknesses depending on your style of use. She is deep drafted (unless you have the K/CB model) and she is slightly under powered (Yanmar 27 h.p.) She has a large, deep, comfortable cockpit. All in all, I think I'll keep her for a long time.

Fast, seakindly boat. Easily shorthanded. We bought the boat because of its performance and appearance; we feel that these are some of the prettiest boats built. Overall, we are very pleased with the boat; we expected that it would prove to be fast and rugged, and we have not been disappointed.

Pros:
Cons:

Fast, comfortable boat with quality construction throughout. Problems to watch out for : balsa cored hull below the waterline subject to water penetration (check carefully with moisture meter, Many have slight keel separation forward of mast but not serious problem (so far), stanchion base design weak and causes radial gel coat fractures(fairly accessible and easy to fix and reinforce with backing plates). Electrical systems should be updated if you have an old '80's model. Also, most come with Barient winches which are no longer made. You can order parts from a company that took over thier inventory located in Australia (high shipping charges...). Other than that - it is a GREAT boat.

Pros:
Cons:

Fast, stable easy to handle boat. The sailing performance comes at a cost; the 6'8" draft (unless you have the K/CB model). The boat points upwind well and manages all points of sail well in fact. The cored hull needs to be watched. The stanchion bases are weak and poorly designed. The port side cockpit seacock is almost unreachable in the case of an emergency. The headroom down below is outstanding (I am 6'5" and have standing headroom). Other than these points, this boat will take you through all sorts of conditions safely delivering you home in style with speed.
