Pros:
Cons:

Our C&C 38 has been upgraded (by the previous owner) with roller furling, a propane galley, windlass and hot&cold pressure water.

This is a great family cruiser. It is especially fast going upwind and in light air, and has excellent accomodations. The pilot berths are great for the kids, and there is lots of storage space. The nav station is great, with plenty of room to spread out charts and nav tools.

We recently sailed from Bayfield to Superior WI in 25-30 kts of wind and 9' waves with one reef and the genny reefed down to about a 105%. The boat went fast and was comfortable as long as we cracked off a touch.

The boat has had some minor problems over the years with wet balsa core, and the chainplates leak when the boat is pushed hard. So there are some things to look out for.

Overall, I highly recommend this model C&C to anyone seeking a cruiser with a good turn of speed.
