Pros:
Cons:

Relatively standard sloop design with modified fin 4' draft. 27' 11"
WLW which produces good off the wind speed for a cruiser that weighs approx. 15,000 lbs. with cruising equipment and full tanks.
It's key feature and main strength is excellent use of a volumetrically large hull for a boat of 31 LOD. It is truly a spacious tri-cabin design built with strength and quality until about 1982. It's greatest waekness would be leeward slip on a beat. In this size range I feel it is a superior boat for cruising in comfort and safety. After 17 yrs. of continued use I am totally satisfied in its cruising capabilies..

Currently undergoing complete refit. Many years of neglect have offered me a great opportunity to own this full size cruiser. I have not sailed her yet but the interior accomondations are superior to that of the 41 Gulfstar I previously owned for 7 years.

This is a great coastal cruiser. It's beam is 11'4" which offer equivilant interior comfort to that of a standard 37' boat. It sails well and I have had it pointing up to 45 Degrees which is pretty good for a beamy cruising boat. Due to some personal issues I am selling the one I own for $21,500. It can be seen at members.dca.net/jcsmith. It is located in the Upper Chesapeake.

Pros:
Cons:

Excellent costal cruising boat. The large beam provides for a comfortable and spacious interior. Sailing is a dream. The Allmand 31 is very easy to handle, even single-handed. The size makes for a very stable and comfortable ride.
