Pros:
Cons:

The 22D is an overbuilt and very forgiving full keel boat -- all the handling and amenities of a larger boat but at an entry-level price. Arguably one of the best built boats in its size and price class. Sadly, not too many of them around (I'm hull number 160).

Traditional narrow-beam Alberg design, roomy cockpit, beautifully finished below deck. It's perfect for single-handing or for a couple that likes short jaunts. I'd strongly recommend it to any first-time boat owner. The inboard Yanmar 1GM diesel is incredibly reliable. Shortcomings: Ridiculous to trailer (3000 lbs.) and prone to weather helm above 12 knot winds.
