Sloop Rig, Wing Keel, Trailerable
3.5ft draft, Standing headroom for short people,(I'm 5'9")
Walk-thru Transom, Real enclosed head, Queen size Aft berth
Very Beamy 9'11"
Very Stable boat,But because of beam doesn't point to weather as well as a less beamy boat.
We love the boat, and spend every weekend as liveaboards.

Fin keel, 4'7" draft, inboard diesel. Very comfortable with exception of low cabin ceiling clearance (I'm 6 feet tall. Good handling in light winds and very stable in winds up to 25 knots in choppy seas. Universal 11hp very dependable and easy to maintain. Excellent value. We love the boat!

As a weekend cruiser, the Capri 26 is a boat you can rely on for just the right combination of comfort and "spunk". Coming from a backgound in fresh water lake sailing, I can attest to the fact that one must remain constantly vigilent for sudden storms and heavy waves with very short notice. The Capri 26 has a distinguished record of stability, dependability, and reliability in heavy weather while managing to keep it's ability to sail very respectably in light air. The Capri 26 is very responsive, if not down right agile in all weather conditions. But what really makes this boat a champion is love of heavy weather. If you want a boat that you can trust to remain stable when things get a little "hairy", you won't find a better boat in it's size range.
