Pros: Very solid for a trailer sailer. Very shallow draft (less than 2 feet). Adjustable backstay. Very manageable single handed.
Cons: Main needs a second reef.

The Captiva 240 was produced in Florida in the 1980s. She is a modified masthead sloop with adjustable backstay. The hull is an O.H. Rogers design that was modified by Walter Scott who also altered the interior design. She weighs in at only 2400 pounds, 1000 pounds of which is ballast. She has plenty of sail area to make her a nice little racer/cruiser.
