Pros:
Cons:

The tall rig with 4'5" draft has exceeded my expectations in performance. The auto helm handles effortlessly and easily brings the boat to 7.5 knots. The canvas package is quite well done. Problems have been minor and the builder stands squarely behind their product. The craft is a great coastal cruiser with ability to stay out a week in comfort. The battery bank is well sized for the refrigeration and the engine is well sized with power to spare. The two state rooms are very nice with the aft cabin working out better than expectations. We went with the cockpit table option and the best stereo system and both serve the cruising lifestyle nicely. The sail package handles nicely and I am able to raise the main by hand and only use the winch to tighten. The powered windlas makes raising the anchor a joy. The galley is convienient with lots of storage. She is fast and sails well and easily sailed by one. We are very satisfied to this point. Track cleats need added for spring lines.

This is our third Catalina and the best one to-date. We have two years of cruising on her and she has proven herself capable and comfortable. Quality of the boat has been good and dealer support from Dunbar Sales has been exceptional. We have outfitted her with a/c, full ST60 instrumentation, ST5000 autopilot, furling main, most everything. We spend two to three weeks a year on her as an extended cruise and a lot of weekenders, etc. She sails well, shows good form in rough seas, this is a boat you can settle down with and enjoy for a long time.

Pros:
Cons:

Just bought her in May 2004, but she seems to be a great choice for the shallow water, coastal cruising we'll be doing in FL and the Bahamas.
