Pros:
Cons:

What a sweet boat. 7 foot beam, 23 foot length, doesn't look like other Columbias, this design was used later by and marketed as a Coronado 23. They are not identical.
Not a fast boat, but very safe, shoal keel for shallow waters and very forgiving. Strong construction, nice looking, easy to trailer, very adaptable.

Very solid boat. Easy to sail and quite forgiving in adverse conditions. Shoal draft adds stability and makes trailering easy. Cockpit holds 4 adults comfortably. An excellent weekender and a great boat for those new to sailing.

Pros:
Cons:

We are the 3rd owner of this boat, she was owned by the 2nd owner since 1977. The boat was neglected of late, but is in fairly good condition. She is quite solid compared to the other boats we compared her to (CS22, Tanzer), with a fairly spacious cabin. Most of our voyages have been between 2 to 5 hours duration. We have been out more than 35 times in 10 weeks. We have sailed her in a range of conditions up to 25 Knot winds and 2 metre seas. She does not move very well in light winds at all. The shoal draft keel (draft = 23"), contributes to significant levels of side slip. Wind above 15 knots require a reef to combat a huge tendency to round up. Bottom line, we are thrilled with the safe and solid nature of our 23T. I highly recommend this boat to any novice sailor.
