It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

The Apache 37 is one of several CCA style sailboat models made by Chris Craft in the late sixties. I've had Second Sojourn for two years and cruise in the Massachussets to Maine area. Pros:	Solid hull construction, beautiful lines
Cons:	steel stanchion plates in deck, shallow bilge, engine access

Bacchanal is a 1969 Chris Chraft sloop. While solidly built of hand laid fiberglass, it is in need of serious upgrading. My father had her for 35 years before me and had a yard perform the maintenance. While the brightwork always shined, they ignored some of the more basic things, like embedded steel in the decks that were starting to rust and a steel mast-step that is deteriorating. Anyone looking at one of these beautiful boats needs to study the deck for swelling both on the topsides and underneath.

Dave Erickson has done much to his Apache 37 and has documented it on his website. Be sure to take a look at it.

Whenever I enter a harbor, people ask about Bacchanal and comment on how beautiful the old boat is. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, it has classic lines. If you want a pretty boat that is solidly built you could do a lot worse than the Apache 37.
