A replica (fiberglass foam sandwich) of Nathaniel Herreshoff's 12.5 foot (waterline length) daysailer.
The design originated in 1914 and has been variously known as the "Herreshoff 12", the "doughdish" (a corruption of the Italian "dodeci" for "12"), the "Buzzard's Bay Boys' Boat",

It's really pretty - I get many compliments on it - and fun
to sail. 15 ft 10 in LOA, 5 ft 10 in beam, draws 2 ft 6 in, nominal displacement 1500 pounds. NO CENTREBOARD - full keel with 49% (735 pounds) outside lead ballast. (They have never been known to capsize!)

About as *capable* a small daysailor as you will ever find.

Available from "Doughdish, Inc." out of Marion, Massachuseets (in the offices of Harding Sails).
