It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

Light boat for easy trailering. Less than a foot draft
with board up makes for good gunk holing. Flip up hatch
gives better head room. Good deck space. Roomy cabin. Small motor pushes her well.

I've found this small boat to be well designed and solidly constructed. I have a 1974 swing keel model which I currently drysail. I've found her to have more room than most boats her length and can easily carry 4 or 5 guests. I love the extensive woodwork inside the cabin and the roomy cockpit. I've found her to have ample storage, although I wish there was a built in ice chest or place to store a cooler (a future project). Stepping the mast and launching the boat takes less than 20 minutes once I reach the ramp, even single-handed. The beamy hull is very stable yet handles respectably in most conditions. She'll hit 6.2 knots with almost no heel on a beam reach. With my older sails I won't be winning any races but I can make good progress both upwind and down. I have some soft spots in the fordeck and cockpit sole resulting from poorly bedded fittings that allowed water into the coring. The cockpit drains are very close to the waterline and let water in if there are more than three people sitting aft. I use a 7.5 hp outboard which has power to spare for this size boat. Since there's no bilge, any water that gets below deck ends up on the cabin floor, which can be annoying. Overall I'd say that she's a pleasure! I'd love to hear from other owners.

Pros:	Very fun to sail and sleeps 3 adults with comfort!!! Fun lttle boat!
Cons:	Hule seperated from deck!! Original rivets seem to be a little short but it is an easy fix.

Love our little boat!!!! Easy to sail and fairly easy to single hand as a beginner!!! Sometimes to basic! With all lines on the mast! Tie of the rudder run to the mast and hoist away the wind grabs you! You get the picture but once the sails are up you could say its a breeze!!

good learner with great stability, easy launch and retrive. Pulled to Florida from Wisconsin with Ranger V-6, singlehanded from Panama City to Tarpon Springs last winter. Swingkeel and popup rudder great for shallow Gulf. Did an 80 mile across from Carrabelle to Steinhatchee easily. Small 3.3 Merc good enough for Lake Superior where I sail mostly but 5+ would be faster goin up the many small rivers coming into the Gulf. Small ice chest nests well under the companion way step. Moved sink to left and installed a compact 2burner propane galley stove. Fabricated a bulkhead to separate the galley from the portapotty area. Did make new thicker and different density Vberth cushions.

Boat points well and is quite stable, pounds into the wind with higher waves due to light weight. Roller reefing std, but my rig was modified for jiffy reefing. Also runs a 150 jenny and I have run a non-std spinnaker, though difficult to handle singlehanded.

This is a great boat(still own and will not sell although I am into a larger fixed keel now), for anyone wanting to learn. Dry sailed my first summer on Superior low cost not requiring a slip. If close to water, trailers and loads easily. Mast can be stepped by one fit person(I am 70). Not real fast, but 5 weeks on the Gulf cruising proves the design.
