Pros:
Cons:

I sail in the Dutch coastal waters, mostly single handed, with a lot of satisfaction.
I want to contact with other Dufour 35 owners for exchanging experences.

Pros:
Cons:

Fast offshore cruiser w/fin keel and skeg rudder. Stiff sailer w/deep draft, stout rig and keel stepped mast. Semi-flush deck with large deck hatches. Quality construction with full liner bonded to the hull and beautiful mahogany interior. Tiller. Very large offset double master berth. A bit slow in light air and lacks opening hull portlights (not so good in hot weather). Very satisfied- love the boat.

Pros:
Cons:

Sloop rig,low deck, well constructed. The mast is keel stepped, the rudder is large with a bottob support. The keel is a fin type design and glassed over cast steel. Boat is very stable with a draft of 6' and mast ht. of 50' above the water. The engine is a raw water cooled MD3B Volvo producing about 32 horsepower. The engine when rebuilt show little sign of corrosion after 24 years in the brackish water. The bottom was reglassed in 1996 because of blisters. One of the nice things is the internal fiberglass liner that extends from just below the floor boards to the upper deck. There are two main hatches 25" X 25" and one small hatch over the head. The hatches have cast aluminum frames. The boat sails well and does 6.5 to 7 knots in a 12 to 15 knot apparent wind. Rails are heavy duty stainless steel. Main cockpit winches are #43 Lewmar. Deck hardware is heavy duty. Boat is well suited for ocean sailing. Engine is heavy by today standards (600#) and not as smooth as todays engines. Very satisfied. The boat has classical lines that does not look out dated.

Pros: Very seaworthy and sturdy.
Cons: For a 1972 model, can't really see any.

When I bought this Dufour it had circumnavigated. It had glass and hot vac on the bottom in 2004 because of blisters. New fresh water cooled Volvo MD11 fitted in 1985
Very sound, in the process of refiting it, the design seems to be very good for a 1972. Can't wait to go sailing.

Pros: I'm the happy owner of a Dufour 35 from 1975 in Lisboa Portugal if you want to contact me please do it by Email: henriquevasconcelosdias@hotmail.come
Cons:

I'm the happy and prowd ownwe of a Dufour 35 build in 1975. It is a very solid , ocean going vessel, and we have lots of fun sailing it.
In our summer hollidays we ( 6 family ) spend a month aboard and find it is very confortable.
Mainly we have sailed the Lisboa Coast, Algarve, and south of spain and he is doing very well even in stong winds and seas.
I would like to meet other people with the same feelings about this boat and people interested in trying it here in Portugal - Lisboa , as we cam arrange some sailing here around the coast of Estoril and Cascais.
Please contact me
