This is my first boat and we have found it very easy to pleasure sail with a crew of 3. Racing it only once so far has proved it to be a fast hull for beginners, faster for "old salts". We really like the fact that the keel has a built in winch so it can be raised and lowered without an extra crane. The interior cabin space excedes all other boats in it's class which was a main attraction for us. Overall it was a great decision for a Sport Boat, we shopped the Melges and J80 boats and are happy with our decision.

Sheepish self plug!
We just bought the molds for the elliott 770 and will be bringing them back into production late this year or early next year. Replacement parts will be available immediatly. Our plans are to lay them up with kevlar for a little extra strength and lightness. Unfortunatly for older owners we will probably hiting the the market quiet a lower price point.

Hi Kenny
Not sure if you are building E770s but I have managed to lose my drop in main hatch cover and need a new one. Could you advise ,if you are building them, how much you would charge for one plus shipped to Auckland?
Regards
