The Ensenada 20 is a swing keel, trailerable weekend cruiser. It has a roomy cabin for a boat this size.

Pros:
Cons:

Lyle Hess designed trailerable racer/cruiser. Unique flush deck keeps the cockpit dry and provides exceptional room below decks. Light displacement requires reefing at about 15 K (18 mph), but makes trailering a breeze. Makes a great extended pocket cruiser for 2, daysailer for 4.

Pros:
Cons:

E-20 is a great trailerable boat for a single or couple. She draws little with keel up, has a short mast with no spreaders making it easy to rig, and has a lot of room below for a 20 footer.

Though rather slow, she is very stable for a small boat and is very diffifult to lose control of. The flat deck design makes for a lot of room in the sun, and the cockpit feels very safe for a novice.

With a little experimentation, an owner can modify the rigging easily for sport and sigle handing. I sailed my E-20 in Lake Erie/Maumee Bay for three season, often by my self in flat and rough water without any trouble.

A great boat for a beginner or trailer sailor.
