Pros:
Cons:

Designed by Ron Holland as an IOR racer that also has the traditional Ericson cruiser comforts. She is neat on deck and luxurious down below. LOA 33"6"; LWL 26'10"; Draft 5'11"
Sail area: Main 320 sq. ft.; jib 253 sq. ft.; Ballast 3,950; Displacement 9,500. 7 Berths. 21 Hp Universal diesel.
7/8th fractional rig. Ericson manufactured about 15-20 (I think) from 1982 until about 1984 (I think). The manufacturer has not been much help providing information that I don't already have. I need to find other owners to learn of there experiences. I desperately want to know of any design flaws that may have surfaced over the years.
I just purchased this boat in November 1996 and only got to sail her twice before I hauled her for the New England winter. There is one other that I know of racing in southeastern Connecticut waters. Other owners or anyone with information on this design please contact me at michael.passero@snet.net or sindabaldi@aol.com. Thank you.

Pros:
Cons:

The E-33 is an excellent sailing, good quality production boat. It has a fractional rig & a relatively large sailplan. Very good windward performance, as narrow shrouds allow close sheeting angles. Handles well & is seakindly for the size. With the large sail area (573 sq ft), reef the main early. I highly recomend this boat to any interested buyer.
