The Fast Passage is an exceptional off shore cruising boat, She won 1983 BOC in her class and 2nd size, Francis Stokes as skipper. The Fast Passage is exceptionally quick in light airs and very stable in a sea way. Bill Garden designed her as the ultimate cruising boat some years ago, she is now available as new construction. There were about 48 of them built between 1976 and 1984. New construction of the Fast Passage started in February of 2000. Beth Leonard says "She is a trmendously capable and seaworthy boat...". Mark Schrader, in a review in Cruising World Dec. '97 says "Keep the FP on your list of tried, true and comfortable cruising possibilities, but be prepared to buy quickly if you find one for sale" For particulars and information please see into www.fastpassage.com.

Happy owners, dozens of transoceanic passages and many complete circumnavigations later, the success of the Garden/Coverdale collaboration is apparent in the Fast Passage 39s.

Purchased our Tollycraft Fast Passage 39 (Hull # 9, the last one Tollycraft built) in November 2009, sailed to Bahamas February 2010. Boat is solid, stable and fast, felt very secure on a rough Gulf Stream crossing from Florida Keys to Bahamas Bank. Aft cabin is quite comfortable, adequate room for wife and myself (I'm 6' 3" 225#, she is a lot smaller). We have never slept in vee berth, it is used for storage. We lived aboard four months while cruising Berrys and Abacos. Plan on continuing from Marsh Harbour this coming winter. Still getting acquainted with this boat and making improvements. We added some new electronics and a new head as well as performing normal maintenance prior to leaving the States. We plan on adding more solar panels, she doesn't need anything else. Not sure where our cruising will take us next but don't forsee any extended crossings. Would love to hear from other Fast Passage owners.
