With its in mast furler, huge aft cockpit and good winch arangement, this sailboat is a very well behaved and fast cruiser. below, the very large and open salon and inline galley facilitate the life on board. 3 staterooms, with a master cabin forward each equiped with shower/head(separated in the master's. 900 litres of water in 5 tanks under the floor. A good powerfull, stiff and confortable sailing platform. Drawbacks Yes: too small chart table, engine access cramped and a mast that barely makes it under the intracoastal bridges.

Pros: good sail performance, roomy
Cons: cramped engine access

Our Gib'Sea 474 has been a reliable and fun family boat. It is well arranged for short handed sailing. Reliable, redundant systems. Engine access can be challenging for issues beyond routine maintenance. Has good performance on all angles of sail and good speed compared to her peers. Hull has shown no blistering problems and no significant leaks after 10 years. Seems very well built. The bulb keel gives a nice 6' draft to tuck in shallow, but still fairly stiff when out on the breeze. Nice large storage compartments in bow and aft plus four double cabins makes it comfortable for lots of friends.
