Lyle Hess designed. 20' LOA, 1700 lbs. Easy to trailer and launch. Swing keel. Good cabin space for its size. 4 berths- sleeps 2 with weekend gear. Small cockpit. Very responsive handling. Well built boat for it's size.

A real fun boat. Fast for racing and comfortable as an overnighter. Its strong and was designed for offshore sailing acording to the designer.

Super well built Lyle Hess design.
Probably the best mini-cruiser you can find. Couple can cruise for weeks with reasonable comfort in amazingly usable interior.
Looks short & fat, but speed will surprise you.
Easy & safe to sail. 135 to 150% Genoa is a joy in light winds. Put a little rake on the mast to generate some weather helm, hand the tiller to a child & it will round up in a heavy gust before they can get knocked down.
The roller reefing is lousy. Replace with slab reefing & this boat will carry you safely in some pretty nasty weather.
Very easy to tow, rig and launch.

Joie d'ete, our good old boat is much more than that, she's great. As hull #27 built by Arthur Marine, our boat is one of the oldest still in use. With much of her original parts and countless thousands of hours put in by the original owner, and a few hundred by ourselves, it is bound to last another 34 years with ease. Without any blisters, a solid seal, and fantastic layout, it is probably the best little boat out there at any age. Like other reviewers: it is pretty fast, VERY stable, well laid out, and a pleasure on the soul as well as the wallet. If you come across one, buy it, no matter what size boat you currently own or thining of buying, as it would be a great addition to the family! -S&E.

Bad to the Bone is a joy to sail. nothing to it on the trailer not bad to set up.And solid on the big lakes in Mi.I just need more room in the cabin.I have a 9.9 Yamaha 4 stroke runs just fine.whin I go out I will go for a week or two.Just got a new magna grill for her.A good boat to start out on or start over as I have.Happy sailing Joel in Holly Mi

Boat is very well built and even for the age hardly shows it. Deck stays very dry even in rough seas. Not exactly the roomyest down below but has plenty room for 2. Cockpit holds 4 okay, but 2 have more than enough room. Handles well with very little weather helm.
