What a boat. Handles superb in over 30 mph winds and rough seas. I had a macgregor 25 and would prefer the Balboa 16 in rough conditions to get me home alive. Have not raced it yet, but the speed she shows in high winds for her length is exceptional.

Pros:
Cons:

I've had mine for about 8 months now, and it's an absolutely terrific boat. 40% ballast/displacement gives it great stability, even in rough conditions. Yet the whole thing including trailer only weighs about 1500 lbs, so it's easy to tow and launch. She flies with the genny up, even in 4-5 knot winds. *sniff* I love my boat...
