Pros:
Cons:

The Hobie 14 Turbo is the upgraded version of the standard Hobie 14. Its extra features are a jib, trapieze, and dolphin striker for strength.
They are a quick 1 man cat, that can quite easily keep up with larger hobie cats, and in light airs beat them.
They are very lively, and are quick to tell you if you don't react fast enough, with a nice dunking!!
They are also easy to sail and safe.
There weakness lies in having a powerful rig on short hulls, if you don't keep your weight well back on a reach, a cart wheel or nose dive often occurs, but hey thats half the fun in a little off the beach cat like this
For thrills per dollar, and whipping the big boys in a tiny package nothing comes close to the Hobie 14 Turbo.
PS You don't have to chase for crew, as YOU are the crew & Skipper.

Pros: The Hobie Turbo is fast and fun
Cons: The side bars have each given out on me once.

I have owned and abused this boat since it was new sailing in Peconic Bay of Long Island. It literally screams across the waves in any wind at all. I have replaced the Jib 3 times and the main has been repaired numerous times. But it keeps on running like the EverReady Bunny only faster. THIS BOAT IS FUN but not for the faint of heart.
