Pros:
Cons:

Summary of design. Bulb keel with 4'11" draft. Swim platform. Lower middle and upper shroud design with raked mast. Interior is spacious and very comfortable with hot and cold water/shower from engine or at dockside using 110V water heater. Two cabins, one with sink. Uses 3 cylinder Yanmar Dsl and three battery electrical system.

Key Features. Fast and stable bay or inland cruiser.
Tall Flex Mast, approx 56ft, Huge Main. Flat deck design allows outstanding single handed sailing in almost any weather. Large Cockpit for comfortable sailing for 6 adults. Lots of freeboard height provides dry sailing even in 5 foot seas.

Strengths. Handles like a large ***** cat even in 20 plus knot winds without reefing or other preparation. Solid 6.5 to 7 Knots per hour with standard sails and rig. Flat deck is a life saver for single handing. Great venting with four ports on each side and two main hatches above. Good engine access. Very forgiving to the novis sailing family. Huge under cockpit storage area. Very attractive woodwork in the interior, yet no wood outside to be maintained.

Weaknesses. Low speed maneuvering in marinas is tricky with standard propeller. Flat decks means lots of potential for minor leaks if ports and skylights are not properly inspected and sealed. Engine noise is louder than necessary due to lack of insulation in some areas. Waste holding tank is too small.

Overall Satisfaction. Very satisfied. One of the most exiting boats I have sailed with a single hull.

Pros: Roomy Boat good for liveaboard
Cons: Lack of security for Sugar scoop hatches

Hunter Legend 35.5
4'-6" draft
20/65/20 Fuel,Water, Waste.
This Boat appears to be a Great Coastal Cruiser. I am a bit concerned about the fact the two compartments on tha Sugar scoop transom have no latches and a following sea/wave could concievably swamp this boat. I am really enjoying this boat and will install latches to make up for its short comings. Easy to Sail, Fast, points to wind an all around good performer. Every thing on my Boat is lead to the cockpit and simply a pleasure to single hand.
