Aft cockpit Sloop. Very strong hull but there are weaknesses in the rig which are easily cured. Lots of room below but there are possibilities for improving storage and access. Sails well and comfortably. Not in the "Cadillac" class but can be good value for the $$.

Ted Irwin built a lot of boat for a little money. It shows in the materials and construction of some of his boats. However there has been nothing in my boat that cannot be corrected by a reasonable sailor/handyman. There is a lot of wasted volume for cosmetic and cost reasons, but I have opened up spaces that have given me a lot more usable storage. Careful use of drills and saws have enabled me to install holding tank extra batteries radio etc, not to mention coaming lockers and galley storage.

My boat is modified for offshore cruising and liveaboard, which was not her original purpose but she does an excellent job of it.
