One of Irwin's best efforts. Sails well, very comfortable, good gelcoat and exterior teak. Interior average Irwin. Built better than many Irwin's and holding up well under frequent two to six week cruises, great lakes, keys and Bahamas. Some minimum crazing on deck.

Excellent value when well maintained. This boat is very comforatble both under sail and at dock/anchor. Hull and rig simple and solid. Interior very well thought out and standard production finish. Electrical and mechanical engineering is straight forward and well sized. An excellent coastal cruiser for New England. Our plans are for 2 years in Carribbean with very little modifications.

Pros:

Solid, sturdy, Ocean Vessel~~Have been through 5 hurricanes.

Cons:

While beautiful the exterior teak, particularly the cap rail is a high maintenance item.

Have owned My Irwin for 14 years and sailed many miles in all conditions. Single handed from Lake Ontario, Canada to the Caribbean, 3500 miles, cruised for 6 years & then my wife helped sail back to Florida, 2000 miles. Nothing I don't know about this Irwin.
Have spent much in upgrades for Wind Gennie, Solar Panels, Auto Pilot, Radar, ground tackle and now preparing to spend on Sail Stack Pack, Air Conditioning, New Frig, Salon Cushions & State Room Mattresses.
I don't intend selling any time soon.
